Gravel Hill 5 2019
17 March 2019
Gravel Hill 5
A run through the forest on a Summer's afternoon, on a fully marked and signposted course with no cutoff time with a shiny bespoke medal awaiting you at the finish (2017 medal pictured).
Test yourself on this beautiful trail run over five miles in the Gravel Hill and War Down areas of Queen Elizabeth Country Park where the hard work of the mile uphill is rewarded with over three miles of downhill, not forgetting the drinks and snacks at the half-way checkpoint on the way round.
Awaiting you at the finish is a bespoke medal designed specifically for the event (please note pictured is 2017 version, there will be a new design for 2018)
Also at the finish, relax and enjoy music, sports shop stand and post-race refreshments.
There are toilets and a cafe within a few metres of the start/finish area.
The course trails are of good quality, but this is quite hilly on parts of the course with around 190m of vertical ascent and descent, so light trail shoes are recommended.
Medical cover is provided by GB EMS who will be onsite with crew at the start/finish, and crew in a 4x4 Ambulance.
There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, also age-group prizes for V40, V50, V60+ ladies and men.
A team prize is awarded to the first team to have three people finish.
