Marathon
The Clarendon Way Marathon starts at 1030hrs from the Godolphin School in Salisbury It passes through some stunning countryside in Wiltshire and Hampshire before finishing at Kings' School in Winchester. The route is mostly off-road, is tough and challenging but possibly one of the most scenic races you'll ever enter. The full marathon starts at 10.30am.
Please note that the mile markers on the marathon course will count up from 1 to 13 then count down from 12 to to 1.
Marathon runners should aim to reach the Half Marathon start point in Broughton in less than 2hrs 45mins i.e. by 13:15. Runners who have not reached this point by then will be asked to take the transport to the finish at Kings' School.
Timing
For the first time in the race's history, we will be using electronic timing chips for all runners. These will be sent out with your race number approximately two weeks before the event. Chips must be returned at the end of the race or within two weeks for DNS/no-shows.
