Beacon Batch 2015

15/06/15 21:00 - Online entry is now closed for the Beacon Batch however you can enter in person on the day at Race HQ.
The Beacon Batch fell race is now in its 26th year and will take place on Tuesday 16th June 2015 at 7.30pm.
The 5 mile course takes you to one of the summits of the Mendip Hills and has 1000ft of climb. Off-road running shoes are recommended as you negotiate the muddy, rocky and steep trails.
The course start is a 5 minute walk from our new Race HQ at the Burrington Inn.
After the race there will be a post-race presentation for the prize winners.
Prizes:
Categories: Male & Female Senior, V40, V50 and V60.
Only one prize per runner.
Team: Male & Female (first 3 runners counting on accumulated time).
Entries:
Pre-race entry for Online and Paper entries is £6 for attached and unattached runners.
There is an entry limit of 150 so enter as soon as possible to guarantee a place.
Entry on the day (£7) is available if capacity is not reached beforehand.
A confirmation email (or cashed cheque) indicates accepted entry.
Pre-race entry closing date: 13th June 2015, or earlier if full.

Please note that race numbers must be picked up from Race HQ from 6.15-7.15pm on race day. They will NOT be posted to you prior to the race.
Please allow plenty of time to park, pick up your race number, pin the number to your running vest and get to the race start at 7.30pm sharp.
Miscellaneous:
The Beacon Batch is run under FRA rules.
We regret that dogs are not allowed to accompany runners for safety reasons.

By entering this race I declare that:
- I will compete on foot and abide by FRA Rules for Competition.
- I will be 16 years or older on 16th June 2015, and I will not participate on the day unless I am fit enough to complete this event.
- I take part in this event at my own risk and the promoters or any person or body involved in the organisation of the event will not be liable for any injury, loss or illness, however caused, resulting from this application.
- I have no objections to my details being held on computer and used by the official race charity, for results, production, photography and for mailing entry forms.

Hot and cold refreshments are available at The Burrington Inn.
Limited car parking so please car share where possible.
We regret that there are no changing or shower facilities available.
