Chichester Half Marathon
11 October 2015
Returning in 2012 after a 25 year break, the Chichester Half Marathon has a challenging, yet beautiful, route which includes a mixture of road, cross country and cycle path terrain. It starts at Chichester College and takes in the historic sites of Chichester, including the Cathedral, Market Cross, and Roman Walls. It then leads up to the pinnacle of the South Downs before winding its way back down Centurion Way.
The Children on the Edge Chichester Half Marathon is organised by Children on the Edge in partnership with Chichester District Council. The 2014 event took place on Sunday 12th October with more than 700 runners enjoying ideal race conditions. James Baker crossed the finish line first in a time of 1hr 13min 05sec. Kari Mack was the first female runner home in a time of 1hr 30min 58sec. Chichester Runners were the top men's team and Wiggle Cycles won the Works Trophy.
