Level Devil

A lot of players also put too much emphasis on speed over life. It might work sometimes to rush through levels, but it also makes it more likely that you'll run right into secret traps. Level Devil awards patience a lot more than quick movement, unlike speed-based platformers. Sometimes it's more useful to take a second to look around and think about what's going on than to be able to react quickly.
Not as clear is the beginner mistake of seeing every death as an unfair accident. The game loves to make fun of players, and many of the traps are actually based on secret psychological or logical patterns. The game tries to get people to do things that are expected of them, like automatically jumping over gaps or accepting layouts that they know. Players who don't try again right away but instead look into why they died tend to get better much faster. One way to do well is to understand how the game works.
