BALA STANDARD TRIATHLON WILL BE TAKING PLACE ON SUNDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER, 2023.

Set to be not only one of the most exciting triathlons that the UK has to offer, but also the most unforgettable races on the Welsh Triathlon super series.

The Bala Standard Triathlon is open to all, it’s the ideal race for beginners and experienced athletes alike. Whatever ability you may be, this truly is a race for everyone.

The Bala Standard Triathlon is a closed road triathlon which starts with a 1500m swim in the waters of Llyn Tegid, before heading West along the A494 on a fast closed road circuit. Having reached the turn-point at Rhydymain, its back East along the A494, usually with a tailwind, before returning to the lakeside transition and rejoining the closed road for the run course. A flat 9.4km run to Glanllyn and back will see you finish back on the lake.

Tough Runner Uk has teamed up with the highly experienced local club, Clwb Beicio Bala to bring back the amazing event that has been one of the most popular races on the triathlon calendar for many years. The race will also be aired on S4C giving spectators around the country the opportunity to see it in action.

BTF rules, All competitors must comply with BTF rules, (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to this race). Non BTF members must be licensed to race which costs £6 and is payable to BTF. This cost is included within the non member ticket price.

All competitors must be licensed to race, those non BTF members will be required to pay a £6GBP levy for a day license. This can be purchased the same time you collect your race number.
