Free Wheelers - Pont y pwl. Welcome to our completely free exercise group catering for running or walking with young children.
We work to remove all barriers to improving fitness - and believe having young children is no reason not to run!
Designed with the needs of parents and/or carers at heart, the Free Wheelers programme offers guidance, advice and solutions to help parents in Torfaen enjoy the physiological, social and psychological benefits of getting out and being active.
You can take your little one to class with you in the buggy, (or borrow one of ours) so there’s no need to worry about arranging childcare while you exercise.
Sessions are for everyone, every ability - come and meet Lucy and Cerys, (who are both mums themselves), as well as being qualified, experienced Leaders. They will help you improve your fitness, have fun, and make new friends at the same time.
Each session will be held in the beautiful setting of Pontypool Park. You are very welcome to borrow one of our running buggies for each session (FREE) - these buggies have been very kindly provided by Welsh Athletics and Torfaen Sports Development.
