HOKA HALF MARATHON WINTER TRAIL 2019:
Taking place on Saturday the 9th February 2019 is the HOKA One One Winter Trail Wales Half Marathon. The event will be a fully marked and marshalled half marathon, taking in the stunning tracks and trails of Bryn Bettws Lodge and the upper Forestry. The course has some of the most spectacular views a runner can imagine in one of the most remarkable forestry and heathland in the UK.
Tough Runner UK are extremely proud that Bryn Bettws Lodge and Natural resources wales have allowed us to stage such an event within our local community and we are working closely with them to delivery what we think will be a stand out sporting event for 2019!

2019 Schedule of event
- 9:00am – Event checking
- 10:40am – Event checking close
- 10:50am – Race briefing
- 11:00am – Start of the 2019 HOKA One One Winter Trail Half Marathon
- 12:25am – First runners expected
- 2:00pm – Awards Ceremony for all runner
Race rules
- Minimum age on the day is 17 for the Half Marathon Rules
- Littering within NRW land will lead to immediate disqualification if you can carry it when its full you can carry it when its empty!

Feed stations
Fuel Stations at the Hoka One One Winter Trail Half Marathon. You are not required to carry your own fuel for the event, but we recommend that runners ensure that they are happy with their own personal fuel requirements prior to the race.
There will be three feed/fuel stations available on race day. Nutrition and hydration needs and requirements will be provided courtesy of GU Nutrition, where you will have the option of gels, wafers, electrolyte drink, sweets and bananas.
Compulsory Kit
Please note that we do not have a compulsory kit list. However, please be prepared that in the event of very unseasonal weather you may be asked to carry upper body cover e.g. minimum being a showerproof jacket. Please be mindful of this and check the local weather before race day to ensure you have the necessary kit with you before travelling. You will also be advised at the race briefing on race day on the compulsory kit.

We are looking in to a park and ride solution for 2019 and will update you on this shortly.
