Kingsbridge Fair Week 10K
25 July 2019
Kingsbridge Fair Week 10K
Starts at 7.30 pm on Thursday 25th July 2019
Held under UKA rules, UKA licence applied for.
The race is held along quiet, scenic country roads of the South Hams. The start is on Embankment Road by the side of the model railway station called 'Ria End' which reflects the fact that Kingsbridge is situated on a ria, not an estuary. The start is only 200m from the recreation ground and registration. From the start the course goes up through the main street of Kingsbridge and quickly moves into the countryside climbing to a ridge which is the highest part of the course. At halfway there is a water station. The course then descends down a steep, picturesque route taking the runners back to Kingsbridge town. At the foot of the road into town they turn sharp left and run along a road parallel to the start. The finish is on the right hand side at the recreation park. The start and finish are shown on the Car parking map and represented by a circles S and F.
It is suggested that the Cattle Market car park is used as it is a short walk to registration and the start and the fee is just £1 for three hours.
Minimum age to enter is 15.
Briefing at 7.20pm at the start on Embankment Road.
Toilets are at registration and end of race. Shower facilities at the Quayside Leisure Centre, courtesy of Fusion Lifestyle. Water stations at middle and end of race.
