Run Afan HOKA Half Marathon 2024

Explore the spectacular Afan Forest this winter. Offering a 10k and a Half Marathon there will be amazing sights and scenery to take in throughout. The amazing atmosphere along with the picturesque scenery makes this a great day out for all runners. Come for a great challenge and adventure.
This stunning event will take in some of the most spectacular views a runner could ever imagine. The beautiful tracks and trails of Bryn Bettws and the upper Forestry provide a trail runners paradise for this event. The course will be challenging and will certainly put your running abilities to the test, not least with the famous climb "The Wall" at mile 11. But you can be certain that the experience will not disappoint. The course will be well marked and marshalled by the brilliant Run Afan Forest team and will have 2 water stations on the route and 1 at the finish line. Although the course will be challenging in places, runners of all abilities are encouraged to come along and take part.

How to get there
Bryn Bettws Lodge, Pontrhydyfen, Port Talbot SA12 9SP, UK
Parking There will be parking in the Bryn Bettws lodge car park which will cost £5, please make sure to bring the correct change.
By Car If travelling by car the event is located 15 minutes from Junction 40 of the M4, please follow directions to SA12 9SP.
By Train The closest train station is Port Talbot Parkway Station which is a 15 minute taxi from the event location.

Registration and Race Number You will collect your race number and timing chip on the day of the race when you register. Your number must be visible on your front for the whole race. Please make sure you arrive early enough to park, register and get ready for your race.
Age Restrictions You must be at least 15 years old to take part.
