Santa Dash – 14th December 2025 - NEW START TIME OF 10.30 AM

Join our festive sponsored approx. 4k fun run organised by the Yeovil Town Road Running Club.

This is a timed event held at Goldenstones Leisure Centre. Adults £10, Child [U16] £5 and under 5s free!

Registration 9am and  Race starts at 10.30

Bring your own Santa suit or festive outfit and drink/drinking cup

Refreshments available on the day for donations

The route includes the flat path past Ninesprings and Yeo Leisure Park as well as the steep ascent and descent of Wyndham Hill.

This year we are raising money for the Stroke and Diabetes departments at the hospital and here is some more information in support. 

Diabetes:

“The diabetes team provides a dynamic and comprehensive service for individuals with various types of diabetes. We deliver integrated care for people with type 1 diabetes, complex type 2 diabetes, diabetic kidney disease, young adult diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, diabetic foot complications, and those using insulin pumps.

Our multidisciplinary team includes diabetes consultants, specialist nurses, podiatrists, and dietitians. Together we strive to achieve the best possible care for people with diabetes.”

Stroke:

“Between 1,100 and 1,200 people in Somerset have a stroke every year and some of those who can’t go straight home from hospital will be cared for at our community hospital stroke rehabilitation units, before they’re medically well, and also to see what functions they are still capable of. Stroke rarely affects just the individual person, but usually involves the whole household, family and friends of the individual.

At Somerset NHS Trust, we provide medical care and rehabilitation for adults with a Somerset GP from the hyper-acute stroke unit at Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil Hospital through to rehabilitation, either in a community hospital or in your own home. We have longer term services to support you to live well after your stroke.

Our stroke specialist teams include stroke physicians, specialist nurses, healthcare assistants and specialist support staff, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists and stroke coordinators.”
