The Brinkworth Bash 10k Multi Terrain
29 September 2019
THE BRINKWORTH BASH MULTI TERRAIN 10K
This year is the Bash's 6th year and as before it will attract off road enthusiasts from all over Wiltshire and beyond. Off road newbies will also find it a great introduction to multi terrain running as it includes a variety of surfaces with quiet paths, tracks, byways and some minor lanes in rural North Wiltshire. The undulating and varied route is generally firm underfoot in September although a wet summer could make some sections interestingly muddy, as it did in 2017! But there are also some fast sections and in dry conditions such as last year when a new course record was set, very fast times are possible.
The race will be the first league event for WORL (the Wiltshire Off Road League) of the coming 2019/20 season.
The Start and Finish are in Brinkworth Recreation field, where free parking, a toilet block, a shelter/baggage tent, and cafe refreshments will be available. The field has a play area and there will also be a free bouncy castle.
