300m Pool Swim - 12 lengths of the pool Starting at individual times
17k Bike - Around Portland Island, Visiting the Bill.
5k Run - Off road along Hamm Beach to Ferrybridge and back.
This is a perfect event for newcomers to the sport of triathlon and a fantastic start to the 2017 season for the more experienced athlete. The facilities at the Osprey Centre are perfect for a pool based triathlon with secure racking for the bikes, Chip timing by FullOnSport, a beautiful and scenic bike ride and a fantastic off road coastal run.
Legacy café will be open throughout the event for spectators and competitors alike.
The race will start at 08:00 with each competitor starting on an individual start time 20 seconds apart, please enter an accurate swim time when registering for this event to prevent confusion on the day. Enter your time in hrs:min:sec format so a seven minute thirty second swim would look like 00:07:30
Registration will take place on the morning of the event, nothing will be sent in the post.
At registration you will receive your;
1. Swim cap
2. Timing chip - to be placed on your LEFT ankle
3. Race number - to be worn on the back on the bike and on your front on the run
Registration and transition will open at 07:00 and close at 07:50
If you are in the first wave you must be ready to race once you have attended the mandatory race brief at 07:55 - POOLSIDE.
If you are in the later waves you will have access to transition but you MUST keep the transition lane free of clutter and respect your fellow athletes.
This event will close entries on 2nd April 2017 - there will be no entries on the day.
